St Ann’s Convent, which is situated in the jurisdiction of Valencia parish belongs to the congregation of the Sisters of St Ann. On December 10 1834, this congregation was founded by the pious couple Carlo Tancredi and Julia Barolo of Italy, with a intention of educating the children and youth and their Christian formation. The foundation which was laid then soon started spreading all over the world.
On May 15 2003, by the gracious providence of God and through the generosity of Carmine Fernandes and family, we received a house for the candidates. At present in this convent 4 nuns and 7 candidates reside. We are proud to belong to a ward which bears the name of St Ann. The candidates who reside here are give their PUC education and also the intitial formation for religious life.
As we celebrate the seventy-fifth anniversary of our parish, we acknowledge the great blessings that God has bestowed on us through the intercession of St Vincent Ferrer.
