Solemn and heartfelt All Souls' Day took place at Valencia Church on 2 Nov 2024, drawing parishioners together to honour and remember their departed loved ones. The commemorative 5 pm mass was led by Assistant Parish Priest Fr Pradeep Rodrigues and concelebrated by Fr Nelson Peres, Assistant Director of St Antony Ashram and  Fr William Barracas.

During the Mass, Fr Rodrigues emphasized the importance of All Souls' Day as a time to remember the faithful departed, offering prayers and expressing the community's hope in eternal life.

The deeply reflective and moving service was attended by numerous parishioners, who gathered in unity to pray for those who have passed.

Following the Mass, the blessing of graves took place in the church cemetery. Parish Priest Fr Roque DSa led a prayer for the souls of the departed, invoking peace and solace for the families who had gathered to pay their respects.

The blessing of the graves was then carried out by Fr Pradeep Rodrigues, Fr Joswin DSouza, Fr Vishwas Misquith SJ, and Fr Nelson Peres, who moved through the cemetery offering blessings at each grave.

The evening's observance served as a powerful reminder of faith, love, and remembrance, strengthening the bond as people honoured their departed loved ones.
