ICYM Valencia unit on Sunday July 15, 2018 celebrated 'Vanamahotsava – 2K18' at St Vincent Ferrar Church, Valencia.

The programme was a support to the initiative taken by ICYM Central Council, Mangaluru diocese on the theme 'Grow Green - Each One Plant One'. Fr James DSouza, parish priest, St Vincent Ferrar Church, Valencia presided over the programme along with Fr Joswin DSouza, assistant parish priest, Fr Arun Lobo, resident priest, Anil Lobo, vice president and Lizzie Pinto, secretary, parish pastoral council. The ICYM unit members and all the parishioners were present for the programme. ICYM Valencia unit president, Relston Lobo welcomed the gathering. Fr James D'Souza addressed the gathering on the importance of growing trees and the steps that could be taken to nurture the plants and trees of our surroundings.

ICYM Valencia unit former secretary, Jovita Rebello delivered the vote of thanks.

After the short formal programme, ICYM members, priests and the parishioners proceeded toward the church cemetery to plant 30 saplings.
