The Trophy unveiling ceremony of the eagerly awaited inter parish “Women’s Throw ball Tournament” was held at the Valencia Golden Jubilee hall, here on 29 January 2023.

The trophy unveiling was done by Santhosh Sequiera (owner of Santhosh Arrangers Kankanady) who is the co-sponsor of the tournament, along with Fr Roque Dsa parish priest and the director of ICYM Valencia Unit, Fr Vijay Monterio Asst PP and Asst Director, Ronald Rodrigues the parish council vice-president and the animator of ICYM Valencia unit, Rita Menezes the secretary of parish council, Valerie Lobo unit president and the members of the unit. The unveiling was witnessed by one thousand parishioners.

The throw ball tournament is organized by Indian Catholic Youth Movement Valencia Unit. Tournament will be hosted at the Fr Muller’s Indoor stadium on 12 February 2023.The day long tournament is open to all the parishes of Mangalore diocese. This tournament is exclusively for the women who are above the age of 16+.

The tournament has some exciting prizes. Winners will be awarded Rs 22,222/- and a trophy. Runners Up with Rs 11,111/- and trophy. Added to this, the Best All Rounder, Best Thrower and Best Receiver trophy will be awarded to the players based on the performance. Not to disappoint the participants, every team will be awarded with a Trophy and Certificates for their participation in the tournament. All the teams will be served refreshments and lunch.

ICYM Valencia unit calls on to all the parishes of Mangalore diocese to form their parish team and participate in this mega tournament.
