As a preparation for the annual parish feast of Valencia Church, the Confraternity Sunday (Compricho Aithar) was celebrated on January 20th 2019 with devotion.
The entire parish got together in huge numbers on this blessed day. The Eucharistic Celebration began at 4pm where Rev Fr. Ruldoph Ravi D’Sa the administrator of Father Muller Medical College Hospital was the Main Celebrant along with Fr James D’Souza, Fr Joswin D’Souza and Fr William Barracas. Fr Joswin the assistant parish priest preached the homily. In his Homily he preached the need of presence of Jesus and Mary in our families to make our families joyful.
After the mass, the Holy Eucharist adorned in a golden coloured monstrance and mounted on a decorated vehicle was taken in procession from Valencia church to St Gerosa school. Joy Star band played devotional hymns.
After the procession the parishioners assembled at the St Gerosa school grounds to participate in the Benediction that was again led by Rev. Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa. During the adoration of the Sacrament he preached on building Christian community founded on Eucharist. "We are called to love serve and care for each other”, he said. The entire proceeding of the Confraternity Sunday displayed the immense faith of the parishioners.
