Youth and Cultural committee and ICYM Valencia unit organised interzone cricket match on 3 November 2019 at the seminary ground.

The event began at 9.00am with inauguration by Fr James Dsouza, parish priest and Anil Lobo, Vice President of Parish Council.

The opening match was played between North Zone and South Zone where South zone won the toss and opted to field first. North zone batting first put a score of 38 runs in 6overs. South zone lost by 4 runs.

Second match was between East zone and west zone where west zone won the toss and elected to field first. East zone put up a score of 38 runs in 6 overs and batting second west zone comfortably chased the score of 38 runs in 5 overs.

The final match was played between North zone and West zone. Before the final match Seminary Rector Fr Ronald Serrao wished the players good luck. North zone winning the toss elected to bat first and put up a score of 38 runs in 6 overs losing 7 wickets. Batting second, West zone easily chased a score of 38 in 5 overs losing 1 wicket.

Royden of St Antony Ward ( West Zone ) was awarded a cash prize for hitting first boundary in the finals and Ashwin of Holy Rosary ward, the captain of West Zone was declared the player of the tournament for his stunning performance in both the matches.

Kishan G and Shreyas were the match officials for the tournament.

Seminary Administrator Fr Leo Lasrado,Seminary Rector Fr Ronald Serrao, Fr Arun Lobo and others were also present for the tournament.
