The culmination of the whole year’s (2019-2020) Sunday catechism took place on Catechism Day which was organized at St Vincent Ferrer Church, Valencia on February 23, 2020.

The thanksgiving mass was celebrated at 8.00 am which was presided over by Rev. Fr Nelson D’Almeida, professor St Joseph Seminary along with Fr James D’Souza, parish priest. Children and teachers conducted the liturgy devotionally and the children’s choir with their melodious singing helped the congregation to pray.

In the second part of the celebration, cultural programme and prize distribution ceremony was held in the golden jubilee hall. Rev. Fr Nelson DAlmeida appreciated teachers, parents and children for their interest towards catechism. Fr James D’Souza , parish priest in his presidential address appreciated and thanked all the teachers for rendering their service throughout the year and encouraged children to inculcate the values learnt in the catechism class.

Prizes were distributed to all the children who secured first and second in the catechism examination and all those who attended catechism daily. Later each class entertained the gathering through dance, skit and singing. All the catechism teachers were felicitated by the parish priest for their voluntary service throughout the year. All were served juice and snacks.
