23rd Ordinary Sunday – 06/09/2015

• As a mark of solidarity with the poor and needy, the SVP distributes vegetables, rice and coconuts to the needy families tomorrow at 4.30 P.M. in the Ferrer Hall.  We thank those who were generous towards this cause.
• Tuesday we celebrate the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary.  The first Mass I at 6.00 A.M. Then there are two procession – One from Gorigudda which begins at 7.10 A.M. and the other from Valencia Circle which begins at 7.15 A.M. At 7.30 we have the blessing of the new corn.  After the Holy Communion the new corns will be distributed.  After the mass break fast will be served and sugarcanes will be distributed to all.  Let us celebrate this feast with devotion and co-operate with the volunteers.  We request ward Gurkars to conduct the liturgy and to bring offertory.

•  We thank Letitia Quadras, Carmel Ward for donating flowers to the Altar on the occasion of her 75th Birthday.
• Next Sunday there is Kannada Vigil from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M.
• Dr Madonna Joseph has requested us to pray for her good health.  On August 20th she met with an accident.  Kindly pray for the speedy recovery.
• Our Parish bulletin “Ekvott” Monthi Feast special issue is ready.  You may have a copy of it from the Church Portico.
• We congratulate our Parish Youth for securing first place in Inter Parish football match which was held at Bajpe Parish.
• On 20th September, Sunday at 4.00 P.M. Women Association (Saheli) organizes ‘Yoga’ for women.  Those who are above 18 can participate in it.
• On 20th Sunday at 4.00 P.M. we celebrate ‘Elders Day’ in our Parish.  Mass at 4.00 P.M. before Mass at 3.30 P.M. there will be confessions and anointing of the sick.  After the mass there will be short get together in the Golden Jubilee Hall.  Those who are above 60 can participate in this programme.
• We request you to give Mordom and Sponsor to bear expenses of Monthi Feast.
• We request the members of the Legion of Mary and Franciscan 3rd Order to gather in the Church premises to clean the new corn on Monday at 2.00 P.M.
• Our Church Website www.valenciachurch.org will be inaugurated on 8th September.
