On Wednesday, 14 November 2018, Youth welfare and Cultural committee of the parish along with the youth celebrated Children’s Day 2018 for the children from UKG to 10th std.
At 5.00pm the children gathered in the church and mass was celebrated for the children by the Parish Priest Rev. Fr James D’Souza. After the mass children proceeded to the church hall where they were served with chicken cutlets and hot malt.
The stage programme began with a prayer song sung by Saheli association. Youth and cultural committee secretary Mrs Sandra Lobo welcomed the gathering. Presidential speech was delivered by the Parish Priest.
Cultural performance was given by ICYM - Mime on “Never Give Up” , Dance performance by YCS, Skit on “Effects of social Media” by Catholic Sabha.
Organising committee and youth organised various games for the children.
Later on prizes were distributed to the winners of the games and winners of various competitions which was held on November 11th. Programme concluded at 8pm and children were given ice-cream.
The entire programme was wonderfully compèred by Jovita Rebello Ex-secretary of ICYM unit.
