Lector’s training was held at Valencia church on Sunday 15 September 2019 at 5.15 pm in the Golden jubilee Hall .

The resource person for the program was Fr Vijay Machado director of Mangala Jyothi Bajjodi (Diocesan Biblical, Catechetical and Liturgical Centre).

The following points were told and explained

• Liturgy and Eucharist.
• How to participate in the liturgy.
• Dress code to be followed by the faithful while participating in the liturgy.
• Type of music to be played in the liturgy.
• How people should participate.
• Practice the readings before proclaiming during the liturgy.
• How to proclaim the word of God in the liturgy.
• Proclaiming the word of God is a Prophetic mission.

Parish priest Fr James, Assistant PP Fr Joswin, PPC secretary Lizzie pinto and around 150 parishioners actively participated in the program.
